The Grand Canyon Day Tour from Flagstaff is a great way to not only see the Grand Canyon, but also experience Northern Arizona at it’s finest. The Day Tour covers over 20 miles of scenic views from the South Rim. You enter at the South Entrance Gate coming from Flagstaff, stop at the Yavapai Point & Geologic Museum before visiting the Historic Grand Canyon Village area. The Historic Village is where you will experience the Kolb Studio, the El Tovar Hotel, and much, much more. As you walk along the rim, this is where most visitors will view the Grand Canyon each year. Experience the rim of the Grand Canyon as those who first stepped off the Train in 1903 experienced it. This is an opportunity to walk where the early Grand Canyon visitors first discovered their vistas of the Grand Canyon and couldn’t wait to get home to tell friends.

Grand Canyon Views

You will enjoy a lunch at the ancient Anasazi Tusayan Ruins and Museum where the twig figurines are on display. Many of these ancient twig figurines were found at the bottom of the Grand Canyon near South Canyon. You will enjoy some of the viewpoints along the rim including the historic Watchtower that was erected in 1932 by Mary Jane Colter. This magnificent replica of an ancient ruin houses some of the best mural paintings by Fred Kabotie from the Hopi Tribe.

Grand Canyon Watchtower View

Now, it’s time to traverse the Navajo Tribal lands on your way out the East Entrance of the Grand Canyon. Your next stop will be at the Historic Cameron Trading Post where the Little Colorado River makes it way towards the Grand Canyon. You will be passing Sunset Crater on your way home to Flagstaff. This tour takes you to some of the best places that Northern Arizona can offer. This Grand Canyon Tour will cover all of the best Grand Canyon views, as well as the famous historic buildings and ancient Anasazi Ruins. Leave the logistics and driving to Grand Canyon Adventures.
