BEST HOTEL IN THE GRAND CANYON PARK! If you want something affordable, very clean, with all-in-one everything you need including breakfast, dining, a general store, and trails near by, THIS IS THE BEST HOTEL! We absolutely loved staying here!Clean: Super duper clean and actually smelled great and refreshing inside.Quality: Nice basic quality! Everything was comfortable.Staff: Very friendly staff! All willing to help.Food/Dining: We had a rehearsal dinner at the Yavapai dining hall and the food was exceptional! We also ate breakfast everyday at the lodge and it was excellent. They serve Starbucks coffee too.STAY HERE! BEST HOTEL!

If you want fancy, spend the money for the other lodges. If you want a bed to crash after a long day of hiking, then this is the place for you. Beds were comfortable but that's about where the room stops. Now the lodge itself was great. Good food and plenty of comfy spots

The corridor smells of mould. Rooms are filthy. The portion behind the bed lamp table looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in months. Actually, i dont think the room has been vacuumed either. I dropped my socks behind the table by mistake, and was aghast to find loads of lint and dust.The location is wonderful. I hope this negative review triggers the house keeping into action. It was actually unhealthy, living there. Stay away if you have breathing issues.

Great location and easy to find. Room is amazing and great for my two dogs. Though the dog crate is too small for my lab. It was nice to have dog bowls. Wish the fridge had a freezer and that breakfast is included. The restaurant is super expensive for a 10 dollar salad I got like two cups worth of salad and no raspberries.

The lodge is perfectly equipped for the kind of person who likes to have a comfortable, clean, and convenient place to stay. They focus on being environmentally conscious which is a huge plus for me. I don’t stay there expecting a high end hotel, but I love that it’s comfortable and quiet. It is right by the visitor center, the restaurant and market, and has easy access to the shuttle. We love the lodge and stay there every time we attend the Star Party. It’s a nice little place to stay. We stayed in a dog friendly room this time. It had a nice kennel (our dog is too big but it was nice they had it) and even a food and water bowl. I liked the hard floor with the dog. I think that the room was perfect for our stay. Note, the picture was when we left, so the beds weren’t made. I would recommend the lodge for anyone who wants a nice place to stay that offers all of the above.

Description

Opened in 1958, Yavapai Lodge is the largest accommodation inside Grand Canyon National Park. The East section—often listed as “Yavapai E” or “Yavapai East”—contains 198 recently updated rooms spread across six two‑story masonry buildings. Interior corridors, double‑pane windows, and in‑room air conditioning set it apart from the more rustic West units. Each room includes a mini‑fridge, coffee maker, flat‑screen TV, and private bath. While pets are welcome in designated West rooms, Yavapai East remains pet‑free, making it a quiet choice for guests with allergies.

By Park Shuttle: Take the Village (Blue) Route to Market Plaza East stop; walk 3 minutes. By Air: Fly into Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (90 min drive) or Phoenix Sky Harbor (3.5 hr). By Train: Amtrak/Southwest Chief to Flagstaff; shuttle or rental car onward.
