Description

Set beside US‑89 just two miles south of downtown, the Welcome to City of Page Sign greets more than three million travelers each year en route to Glen Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Antelope Canyon. The concrete monument, painted in warm desert hues with a stylized sunburst, was installed by the City of Page to strengthen brand recognition and provide visitors with a safe, designated photo spot. Night‑time uplighting and low‑maintenance xeriscape landscaping ensure the sign remains visible and attractive year‑round. Because it sits outside any fee area, stopping is free and takes only a few minutes—perfect for road‑trippers eager to document their arrival in the “Hub of the Grand Circle.”

History

1957
Page founded as a housing community for Glen Canyon Dam workers.
2014
Current monument sign first appears in Google Street View imagery, replacing an older metal panel.
2023
City of Page Public Works repaints lettering and upgrades LED uplighting for better night visibility.

Features
