Not on the leaflet given on entry at Grand Canyon so not well known trail. Easy walk out and back but can be uneven in places due to small rocks/pebbles.Once at the end of the walk, to get the full experience, just keep the toilets to your left and there is a path in between rocks and trees which takes you out to a rock point. There is a deep step down but once down you will get to see and hear the Grand Canyon, sometimes just by yourself (I spent a good 30 minutes by myself just sitting and listening).If you don't want the noise of others, this is a great little spot.Good location for a sunset, just make sure you bring a torch, blanket/thick jumper as will get dark and cold quite quickly.

Single handedly the best view of the canyon and our favorite spot our entire trip! It’s an easy ~2 mile hike and is absolutely breathtaking! Hardly anyone knows about this spot so if you need to get away from all your fellow tourists, than this is THE spot. It’s almost a full 360 view of the canyon. And there are tons of curious elk and hawks we spotted all around us.

what a great place to view the canyon especially for sunset and a full moon rising. About a 1 mile easy walk in. At the end, there is a picnic area with bathrooms and trash even. Walk out to the point past the picnic area for the best views.

I found this trail on AllTrails and we did it as a family of four with a five and seven year old. I think it took us two hours round-trip, but that’s because we stayed at the view point for awhile and also because of the snow. When we went, there was still 2 feet of snow. The trail was mostly packed snow, but for my husband who was carrying a backpack and heavier, he kept falling through 10 or so inches which made things a little bit difficult. But let me tell you, this trail was so worth it. I’ve been to the Grand Canyon three times, and this was the most incredible view so far! If you are going with kids, definitely keep them close at the end because it’s a drop off. I’m not sure if it was technically open or not, but we saw two other groups of people on the trail, so I think it’s more of at your own risk right now. So incredible, highly recommend. I’m sure the trail be that much easier when the snow is gone.
