A convenient entry point to Page’s 10‑mile Rim View loop, the Lake View Trailhead delivers sweeping vistas of Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam and the red‑rock desert from the very first steps. Multi‑use, dog‑friendly and open year‑round.
We have not hiked the entire trail, yet. It is a nice walk around the mesa. Great views. Some areas have a lot of dog poop; would be awesome if dog owners would be more responsible. We would call the trail easy, not strenuous at all. A couple of little uphills but no large elevation gains.
Beautiful scenic views/back drops… It’s where locals go, neat hidden ponds that aren’t in the tourist brochures…. a must see although you should where good shoes and plenty of water. Trails are in good condition, be careful when are walking near the sandstone ridge line, sandstone can and will break away if over stressed….
New hikes I have found after only living in Page for a decade. The land of awe and no one around. Great place to take the dogs for a run. Close to town but secluded at the same time. Check out these pics.

The Lake View access is one of several trailheads on the Rim Trail—also called the Rim View Trail—that circles Manson Mesa and the city of Page. The mostly packed‑dirt and slickrock path offers nearly continuous 360° views, minimal elevation change (~481 ft) and multiple spur paths to overlooks. It is popular with locals for morning runs, evening dog walks and mountain‑bike laps. There is no shade, water or restrooms along the route, so plan accordingly. The loop can be travelled clockwise or counter‑clockwise; wayfinding posts mark mileage every half‑mile.
Car: From US‑89, turn onto North Lake Powell Blvd; trailhead pull‑out is 0.6 mi north of the Dam Overlook sign. Bike/On Foot: Use city sidewalks or bike lanes along Lake Powell Blvd. Taxi/Rideshare: Available within Page; ask for “Lake View Rim Trail access.”
