Great view, clean when I visited, and free
The pictures shared in this review are for different places. Google maps does not take you to a nice overview. Very confusing.
Nice view on Lake Powell and Antelope Island. A lots of broken glasses (people are coming here to drink probably), so take care if you go there with children or dogs.
Great view. No potatoes.
Calm trail with a beautiful view
A quick, quarter‑mile walk leads to sweeping views of Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam, Antelope Island, and Page’s red‑rock mesas.
Potato Hill Overlook sits on the north rim of Page, Arizona, just off the 10‑mile Rim View Trail. From its low sandstone knoll, visitors enjoy 360‑degree vistas of Lake Powell’s blue waters, the concrete face of Glen Canyon Dam, Tower Butte, and the vermilion cliffs that frame the city. The approach is an easy, family‑friendly dirt path rising roughly 50 ft/15 m, making it one of the quickest ways to catch a dramatic Lake Powell sunrise or sunset without a strenuous hike.
Car: 5 min drive from downtown Page; follow N Lake Powell Blvd → Ridgeview Dr to the signed Rim Trail/Lake View trailhead. Bike/Foot: Access via the Rim View Trail loop. No public transit serves the overlook.
Local advice to help you make the most of your visit.
