After a 2.5-hour drive, we got screwed. You have to take a bus to the Skywalk, which costs $80, and you can't take pictures from the Skywalk. There are photographers who will do it for you, for a fee, of course.
Large free parking lot right next to the visitor center.Since there is some security, it's easy to leave car windows open.

Description
Parking Lot A is the primary visitor parking area for Grand Canyon West. Operated by the Hualapai Tribe, the lot accommodates more than 500 vehicles, including RVs and tour buses, and features accessible spaces close to the Welcome Center entrance. From here, guests board the complimentary shuttle to the Skywalk, Eagle Point, Guano Point and Hualapai Ranch. By Car: 2 hr 15 min (125 mi) drive from Las Vegas via US-93, Pierce Ferry Rd & Diamond Bar Rd (last 9 mi unpaved). By Tour Bus: Most Las Vegas day tours drop passengers directly at Lot A. By Air: Grand Canyon West Airport (1 mi) offers helicopter & fixed-wing flights that include shuttle transfer to the lot.
