This parking lot is only accessible from the end of November till the end of February, after that the only access to Mojave Point is by hiking along the Rim Trail or using the Park Services’ shuttle bus system. The parking lot is shaped in the form of a triangle and while large, has very few parking spaces. There are no restrooms at this location.
You can not drive your car you must take the bus but plenty of room and clean.

Mohave Point offers a spectacular view west, and one of the better views of the Colorado River.
The small lot is the quickest way to reach Mohave Point, one of the South Rim’s premier sunrise & sunset overlooks. From the rail‑lined promontory you can peer 3,000 ft down to Granite and Hermit Rapids, watch rafters on the Colorado River, and photograph dramatic late‑day light on sandstone temples.
By Shuttle (Mar–Nov): Board the Red Route at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center or Village Transfer. Buses run every 10–15 min from 8 am until 30 min after sunset. By Car (Dec–Feb): From the Village, follow Village Loop Dr. to Hermit Road and continue 3.5 mi west. The lot is signed ‘Mohave Point’ on the right.
