Description

Perched at 6,200 ft (1,890 m) on the Kaibab Plateau, House Rock Valley Overlook is one of the few places where you can see the high‑desert floor of House Rock Valley drop away beneath the towering Vermilion Cliffs. The pull‑out sits inside Kaibab National Forest and borders Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, framing a classic Grand Canyon region panorama without the crowds. Photographers prize the overlook for sunrise alpenglow on the red cliffs, while travelers on the Jacob Lake–Marble Canyon scenic drive use it as a quick leg‑stretch stop. Facilities are minimal—no restrooms or water—so come prepared and pack out all trash.
