Why Visit Grand Canyon West

Grand Canyon West is the Hualapai Tribe’s gateway to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, famous for the glass‑bottom Skywalk, sweeping canyon vistas, and Native cultural experiences. It lies outside Grand Canyon National Park and operates year‑round.

Highlights

Walk 70 ft beyond the rim on the horseshoe‑shaped Skywalk.
Ride the free shuttle to Eagle Point and Guano Point for panoramic views.
Add adrenaline with an 1,100‑ft zip line or a helicopter‑to‑river boat tour.

Description

Grand Canyon West is managed by Grand Canyon Resort Corporation, wholly owned by the Hualapai Tribe. Visitors purchase bundled packages that include shuttle transport between the Welcome Center, Eagle Point, Guano Point, and Hualapai Ranch. The site features restaurants, gift shops, cultural demonstrations, a small museum, zip line, helicopter pad, and overnight cabins. Because it sits on tribal land, National Park passes are not valid and all guests must buy a Grand Canyon West ticket.
