The Hualapai Reservation with the Grand Canyon West is an amazing place.The Hualapai people were amazingly accommodating and freely discussed their lifestyle with a pride that most Americans could learn from.Our group of 4 adults did the Skywalk and Zipline across the canyon. We then enjoyed a tasty and relaxing (reasonably priced) lunch overlooking the Grand Canyon and Skybridge in air-conditioned comfort (the view was amazing). Even the large desert was tasty and enjoyable. After lunch there was plenty of time for the gift shop and then more exploring of the canyon rim. There's plenty of (and frequent ) busses for transportation to the next stop for more beautiful views. Then a final bus ride back to the parking lot.Even though I have been several times previously, it's a trip you'll never forget.

So amazing!!! To be walking on glass almost a mile over the Grand Canyon floor is amazing.The only negative about visiting here and Guano Point was that it cost 100 dollars plus taxes a person. But worth doing it once.The views are amazing and worth it. As I have recommended on the other stop, I would go in the late fall or early spring. It was so hot when we visited in the summer.Staff is very kind. The shuttle comes every few mins so it’s very easy navigating around.

This was an overall amazing experience.There are 3 additional parks you can visit with the shuttle that goes around and we've had a lot of fun on all sites.I couldn't find the pricing on their website so when I saw the $200 per person tag I was a little surprised.

I’m an engineer so I marveled at the engineering feat that made this possible. The experience is one of a kind and definitely worth it. We visited in late April when the weather is still pleasant and not too hot.The views on this western edge of Grand Canyon is also unique with a glimpse of the Colorado River way down below.Two thumbs up!

Great experience. It has some nice views. Bought an hour and a half outside of Laughlin. Be careful, did have cell service trying to get back for about 20-25 minutes, lol.It cost 113 dollars but that included the sky walk and the zipline and 2 view points.It was worth it to me. Your ticket also includes 10 dollars off when you spend 20 at their gift shop or restaurants

Description

Grand Canyon West Skywalk is the crown jewel of the Hualapai Tribe’s Grand Canyon West destination. Designed by architect Mark Johnson and funded by entrepreneur David Jin, the 10‑ft‑wide, U‑shaped bridge extends 70 ft beyond the rim at Eagle Point. Its engineering can support 71 fully loaded Boeing 747s, yet the crystal‑clear glass keeps the experience seemingly weightless. Visitors don protective shoe covers, store loose items in free lockers, and step onto a platform suspended 4,000 ft above the canyon floor for a one‑of‑a‑kind perspective.

1996

David Jin proposes a glass sky bridge to the Hualapai Tribe.

2004

Construction of the cantilevered steel frame begins.

2005

Glass panels and railings installed; load testing completed.

Skywalk opens to the public after a ceremonial “first walk.”

Getting There

By Car: 2 hr 15 min drive from Las Vegas via US‑93, Pierce Ferry Rd, and Diamond Bar Rd (paved). Tours: Daily bus, helicopter, and airplane tours depart from Las Vegas and Grand Canyon National Park. No Public Transit: The site is not served by Greyhound or Amtrak.
