Grand Canyon Unified School District #4 was established in 1911 to educate the children of park rangers, concessionaire employees, and residents of Grand Canyon Village. Today the district operates an elementary, middle, and high school on a single campus at 100 Boulder Street. The rural setting and small enrollment (≈300 students) foster a tight‑knit learning environment where teachers know every student by name. Academic programs include Advanced Placement, career and technical education, and online dual‑credit courses. Athletics—home of the Phantoms—feature basketball, cross‑country, volleyball, and track. The district follows a four‑day instructional week (Mon–Thu) to reduce costs and align with local transportation schedules.
