Great view of dam. Follow Scenic Drive signs.
This is one of the amazing spots that is a must see in Page. Best thing is it’s free! You can see the better part of the Glen Canyon Dam at this site.
Stunning views! A must see for sure.
The parking at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook is convenient and well-maintained. Not much parking spaces are available though. Small, free parking area that serves the short trail to Glen Canyon Dam Overlook, offering wide views of the Colorado River, Glen Canyon, and the 710-ft-high dam.
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook Parking Lot is the primary access point for the Dam Overlook Trail, a brief but scenic descent down sandstone steps to a fenced viewpoint on the canyon rim. From the lot, visitors can see the top of Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell, then follow the hand-railed path to a lower platform for unobstructed photography of the dam, river, and surrounding Navajo Sandstone walls. Managed by Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the site has basic amenities but no restrooms. Because it sits west of downtown Page, it remains quieter than nearby marquee stops, making it ideal for quick photo breaks or sunset viewing without crowds.
From US-89, turn west onto Scenic View Dr (1.5 mi south of Carl Hayden Visitor Center). Follow to lot’s end.
