I cannot comment on the food as didn't eat here. Service was appalling though, as I write this emotions are still running high, as my husband ordered my cocktail at the bar, I found a seat and waited, (as per photo). I was then asked by a dark haired lady (hair tied up) to remove myself from the area and drink in the reception area as it was table service only, even though I had ordered at the bar. When my husband asked the bar tender what the policy was, he knew nothing about why I had been evicted. Maybe she was having a bad night? What I can say for sure is this is the worst experience encountered on the 10th day of our American road trip. She should be ashamed of the way she spoke to a paying customer. I hope management read this and deal with in the appropriate way

This was a perfect place to get a small bite after hiking around the rim of the Grand Canyon. We tried the canyon sunset drink, truffle fries, slider trio, Ceasar salad, chocolate cake and lobster, and shrimp quasidilla. All of the food was Devine. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. Unfortunately, the service did lack a little enthusiasm and was a bit inattentive. However, we had a small problem with a dish, nothing terrible, but the manager Destiny was extremely apologetic and offered to cover the meal for us, which was completely unexpected and appreciated.

On the night of 08/31, the hosts were rude and completely unprepared. They made us wait for over an hour despite multiple empty tables inside, and even laughed as we left out of frustration. That kind of behavior is beyond unprofessional, it’s insultingOverall, the service was terrible, with the sole exception of our waiter, Guy, who was outstanding during lunch. The food is overpriced and comparable in quality to a Denny’s.Is this really the impression we want to leave on tourists visiting one of the most beautiful national parks in the country and the world?You can, and should, do better.

Was looking to dine at the El Tovar restaurant, but no way to get in without a reservation for peak season. Was a little hesitant when sitting inside the lounge and read the reviews. Turn out the foods were great, server were very nice and attentive. Guess they shares kitchen with the main restaurant, except you will not get the steak in here. Every dish was tasty, the apple pie in the end was delightful and delicious. Had to order a second, you cant skip that!

Really disappointed with the service at the host stand tonight. We got to the cocktail lounge around 7:30pm, when we went to the stand they told us that it was full at the moment and that we had to wait for a table to free up. She also gave us the option to take a drink to go, great service. After 40 minutes waiting right in front of them, we decided to ask them if they were going to be able to serve us. The blonde lady told us that a group just left and the table will be ready shortly. After a couple minutes, the other guy at the host stand told us that it will take around 15-20 minutes to clean and set up the table. 15-20 min to clean a table? Outrageous. We decided to leave, and as we left both of the hosts had a nice smile on their faces. Poor service from the 2 hosts, I won’t be returning here and I hope the hotel management does something about this.
