Amazing bike path leading to the grand canyon. Hikers should watch out. Arizona and the national park delisted class 1 electric bikes so you can ride no matter what this bootleg website says. This is public property and not owned by these people who attached their website to the location. They are volunteers and have zero authority. Go ride.
Nice paved trail from the shuttle stop in Tusayan to GC Park. Slight rolling uphill to the Canyon. Free spring water fill up at any water station in the park. Leads to bikes trails within the park or take the Rim Rd out to Herman’s Rest. Met a few elk along the path. Free parking at the shuttle stop

The Arizona National Scenic Trail (AZT) was conceived in 1985 by Flagstaff teacher Dale Shewalter as a continuous, non‑motorized path the length of Arizona. Designated a National Scenic Trail in 2009 and completed in 2011, the AZT threads 800 miles/1,287 km through deserts, canyons, and alpine peaks. Its Grand Canyon segment—Passages 37 & 38—descends the South Kaibab Trail, crosses the Colorado River on the Black Bridge, and climbs the North Kaibab Trail to the North Rim. Hikers tackle it as a challenging day “Rim‑to‑Rim,” a multi‑day backpack, or part of a thru‑hike that typically takes 6–8 weeks.
Car: Park at South Kaibab Trailhead (South Rim) or North Kaibab Trailhead (North Rim). Shuttle: Seasonal Trans‑Canyon Shuttle connects both rims (5 hrs). Air: Fly into Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (90 mi) or Phoenix Sky Harbor (230 mi) and rent a car/shuttle.
