Visitor - How far is the sky walk from the South Rim?
Rita - The distance is 254 miles and takes about 5.5 hours to drive from the South Rim.
Visitor - Thank you.
Is there a shuttle that takes you from the south rim to the west rim overlook?
Christina,
Not currently. Unfortunately, if you want to go from the South Rim to Grand Canyon West where the Skywalk is you must have your own vehicle - Rental or Personal.
Thank You,
Karlyn
According to Google it takes about 4 hours to get from the Skywalk to the South Rim vía the 40. Is there a road near the canyon that connects the two or is this the only way?
Blanca,
Unfortunately, No...that is the fastest route. And be sure you are on the PAVED Stockton Hill road into Kingman, and not the dirt Antares Road to Route 66 outside of Kingman.
Enjoy,
Karlyn
If traveling to the skywalk from las Vegas nv will we pass the town of Bellemont Arizona?
Mary,
No, Bellemont is between Williams, Arizona and Flagstaff, Arizona when you are near the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
The Skywalk is located at Grand Canyon West which is on the Hualapai Indian Reservation.
Thank You,
Karlyn
