The 79th Annual Easter Sunrise Service will be held at Mather Point at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon this Sunday April 20th.
Easter Sunrise Service on the South Rim has been a tradition since 1935. Millions of Americans experienced the Grand Canyon Easter Sunrise Service through their radios in the past. It is not uncommon to have attendance of 3,000-5,000 for an Easter Sunrise Service. Easter Sunrise Service takes place at 5:30 a.m. at Mather Point Overlook. Parking is available at the Visitor’s Center Parking Lot. Participants should look for signs posted in the lodges for shuttle information and dress for cold and windy conditions.
