Grand Canyon West Grand Canyon West is on the Hualapai Nation’s portion of Grand Canyon just before it enters Lake Mead. It is located near Las Vegas and can be easily combined with a tour of Hoover Dam in a one day excursion from your Las Vegas Hotel. The road out to Grand Canyon West is completely paved now and many visitors are taking in the Grand Canyon Skywalk when they visit Grand Canyon West. The Hualapai Tribe has been promoting Grand Canyon West as an adventure destination at the Grand Canyon since the early 1990’s. Although Grand Canyon West is not located in Grand Canyon National Park, you can still experience the Grand Canyon here. Grand Canyon West is the ONLY location that you can take a Helicopter Ride to the Bottom of the Grand Canyon, then enjoy a short Boat ride on the Colorado River. The Over The Edge Tour is just the ticket to add this adventure to your life. Skywalk Ticket is NOT included.

Itinerary:

Check-In: 30 minutes prior to flight time at the Grand Canyon West Terminal at Papillon Helicopters.
Flight Duration: 10-15 Minutes
Helicopter Flight: You will board a Helicopter and fly to the bottom of Grand Canyon West
Boat Ride: You will enjoy a Boat ride on the Colorado River
Observation Points: Grand Canyon landscape, rock formations, the Colorado River and rising walls
Helicopter Flight: Return to the top of the West Rim via Helicopter
Legacy Ground Tour Duration: Self-Guided Ground Tour and can range from 1-3+ hours. Visit Guano Point, Eagle Point (Home of the Grand Canyon Skywalk – Ticket NOT Included), and the Hualapai Ranch.
Total Tour Time: Please plan a minimum of 3+ hours for the Over The Edge Heli & Boat Tour with Legacy upon arrival at Grand Canyon West. The Air Tour Check-In/Flight time of 1 Hour and Ground Tour time of 2-3+ hours.

Water: You may want to bring a bottle of water although it is not allowed to be open in the Helicopter
Bring a Camera or Smartphone. The use of “Selfie Sticks” is prohibited on or around the Helicopter
Summer attire is recommended Apr-Sep. Layered Winter Attire from Oct-Mar annually.
Shoes: On the Ground Tour, you will be in rocky terrain. Sneakers or Hiking Boots recommended.
