You’ve seen it in the movies, you’ve seen it on TV, now see it for yourself! Monument Valley: an icon of the American West! A land of living sculptures, where wind, water and time have carved red rock mesas into shapes that will captivate your imagination.

The Lake Powell Monument Valley Scenic Air Tour originates at the Page-Lake Powell Municipal Airport in Page, Arizona. This incredible aerial tour takes place aboard high-wing aircraft for better visibility. The scenery will astound you from lift-off to landing. You’ll glide over the Glen Canyon Dam, Lake Powell Resort and Marina, Navajo Mountain, Rainbow Bridge National Monument and beautiful Monument Valley. Part of the Navajo Indian Reservation, Monument Valley is comprised of buttes, mesas, spires, pinnacles and arches, separated by vast stretches of untouched desert. The valley’s formations, such as “the Mittens,” “the Stagecoach,” “Elephant Butte,” and “The Three Sisters,” are the result of an “upwarp” in the Colorado Plateau, whose mass was subsequently carved into pieces by meandering rivers and relentless winds.

Most visitors to Monument Valley view these formations via a 17-mile dirt road, built in 1939 by Hollywood film director John Ford, who brought Monument Valley to a worldwide audience with the release of the film “Stagecoach.” You can see it from a much grander and more comfortable perspective - soaring with the eagles as you listen to automated tour narration available in English and other international languages. Your aircraft’s high wings allow for excellent photography and videotaping.

The Lake Powell Monument Valley Scenic Air tour will be a memorable and educational experience for your whole family. Space is limited, so book your seat today!
