The Las Vegas Inner Grand Canyon Jeep Tour
Finally, you too can see the Grand Canyon from top to bottom AND stay on solid ground. Originating at Peach Springs Arizona, approximately 3 hours’ drive from Las Vegas, you’ll experience some of Arizona’s living history from the rim to the river - and some interesting places in between. 
Driving from Las Vegas to Peach Springs, you’ll travel along one of the last remaining stretches of the original Mother Road, Route 66 en route to the Grand Canyon Caverns. This is the meeting place for the Inner Canyon Jeep Tour. After checking in at 10.30 AM, your adventure begins with a walking tour of the Caverns. A rare example of a “dry” cavern system that was discovered in the 1920’s, you’ll enjoy learning about the subterranean geology of the region, and sharing fascinating and sometimes humorous anecdotes surrounding the Caverns’ human history.
When the Caverns tour is completed, you’ll climb aboard a custom-built open air Jeep for the ultimate journey - to the bottom of the Grand Canyon! As you descend down the Diamond Creek road (the only road to the bottom of the Grand Canyon) into the depths of the chasm, watch as massive canyon walls begin to tower over you, and marvel at views of the spectacular landscape and unusual desert plants. You might even catch a glimpse of a wild burro. Upon reaching the Colorado River, you’ll break for a leisurely lunch on the very bank of the mighty river. You’ll have plenty of time to explore, photograph, and take in the incredible scenery before returning to the Caverns at approximately 3.30 PM.
You’ll be amazed at how much you got to see and do, and how easy it was! This tour can be accommodated as a day trip out of Las Vegas, or as a “detour” on your way from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon South Rim.
Itinerary:
- 7.30 AM – Drive from Las Vegas to Peach Springs, allowing approximately 3 hours for the trip
- 10.30 AM – Check-in at Grand Canyon Caverns, Peach Springs, Arizona
- 11.00 AM – Walking Tour of Grand Canyon Caverns
- 12.00 N – Board safari jeep to the bottom of the Canyon!
- 12.30 PM – Lunch on the banks of the Colorado River
(Sandwich choices: turkey, ham, roast beef, cheese and peanut butter & jelly) - 2.00 PM – Depart Diamond Creek for Peach Springs
- 3.30 PM – Return to Grand Canyon Caverns
