Inner Canyon Sunset Jeep Tour From Williams, AZ

Introducing the Inner Canyon Jeep Tour Sunset Special, where you’ll experience some of Arizona’s living history from the rim to the river - and some interesting places in between – all while staying on solid ground. This day of adventure begins at 1:15 PM at the Grand Canyon Old West Jeep Tour office in Williams, Arizona. As you relax aboard a comfortable mini-coach, you’ll travel along one of the last remaining stretches of Route 66. Passing through picturesque Seligman, look out for “Mater” and “Red” from the Disney Pixar movie “Cars.” This is where they live in real life! Soon, you’ll arrive at the Grand Canyon Caverns where you’ll enjoy a hot home-cooked meal. Choose from savory meatloaf, fried chicken, shrimp basket or spaghetti and meatballs with your choice of soup or salad bar, dinner rolls, coffee, tea, soda and dessert. Don’t worry if you eat too much – you’ll soon walk it off as you tour the amazing Grand Canyon Caverns! A rare example of a “dry” cavern system, you’ll enjoy an hour long tour while learning about the fascinating human history and complex subterranean geology of the region.

Inner Grand Canyon Jeep TourWhen the Caverns tour is completed, you’ll climb aboard an open air Jeep for the ultimate journey - to the bottom of the Grand Canyon! As you descend into the depths of the chasm, watch as massive sandstone walls rise above you, and unusual desert plants surround you. You might even catch a glimpse of a wild burro. When you reach the Colorado River, it’s time to relax, unwind and contemplate the complexity and magnitude of the Grand Canyon as the rays of the setting sun cast a soft glow over the towering sandstone monoliths before you. As you feast your eyes, open your ears, too – and enjoy the silence, which may be occasionally be broken by the rush of the river, the call of a canyon wren, or the contented chirp of a cricket or bullfrog. The memories of the peace and serenity of this incredible setting will stay with you for a lifetime! After leaving the river, you’ll return to the Caverns and transfer back to your mini-coach for the trip back to Williams.
